Why not show how adjusting the gun would affect paint?

I've had a really really annoying weird problem, where the paint would come out in big blobs instead of a nice mist like expected. I've tried everything - air pressure lower/higher, fan adjustment tighter/bigger, adding thinner etc. but nothing would solve it. In the end, the small holes in the air cap on either side of the nozzle were plugged with old paint. After soaking in thinner and blowing out with 6 bars of compressed air, it works like a charm again. This wasn't mentioned in any of the troubleshooting videos, probably because it's so easy? So I'm leaving this here for others who might have the same problem... TL;DR when the gun doesn't work like it's supposed to, first thing is to really really clean it well including all the small holes.

Do airless sprayers spray thicker paint better than air assisted airless? I'm trying to spray Benjamin moore command. I have an anest iwata 17:1 and my tips keep clogging while painting. I have a new gun filter. Ive used a 513, 515 and 419 tip... 45 psi on the fluid and 15psi on the air side and i can never get these perfect pattern sprays i see everyone getting on RUclips. It's very frustrating. After 1 pass or so my spray pattern gets distorted like it's clogging. I see everyone spraying right out the can with no issues but me... No way. If i lower the fluid pressure it really clogs so it seems to like higher pressure.

Does anyone know why this painter is so expensive? I mean something like a Graco X5 is only $300. This is around $1,700.

Can you spray latex paints?

Can they both spray automotive paints and primers and clears?

Electrician here: For those seriously using the grounding cable included, please be aware the cable is fine and all but just about 90 percent of homes in America have outlets in them where the ground may not be hooked up properly at the outlet. Just an FYI

Oh my goodness (* don't believe in God *) You make such a mess of everything. When you use waterbase paint start with a bucket of water an a sponge. Also a brush to clean the paint can an not let everything dripping of the edge. When you clean the gun don't spray in your filters. Do it in a bucket...maybe put a few toilerpaper, paper towels our what ever in the bucket. Also, the dripping of the gun is not done. Sorry to say but if I see this I think please stop.

get better cameras to display pitt stuff . sheesh i cant see the difference . love this guy trying but lackluster camera he can spray o rattlecan and see nothing . keep the guy add camera, if you want to sell the spyayer

I had the previous model hand held. I didn't use it for about 14 months. When i finally did, the battery did not want to power it or charge . Ended up buying a new battery.

so after 150-200 gallons or so you have to buy another machine or rebuild it ?

Excellent point regarding the collapsing liner promoting vertical painting. I'm a sportbike painter so vertical happens ALOT.

I was painting a bicycle frame and dound out gravity fed is not way to go .gotta save up to get a compressor to use the binks

Thank you for sharing valuable information. I have a SATA 5500, used to make spray outs only at the moment ( not a painter yet, still in training). Since yesterday, it started something strange : with the trigger half way on, jut to blow air to dry the card, the air is going in to the paint cup ( 3M single use ), literally inflating the cup like a balloon. What can it be the cause of this issue?

Can this unit soft wash homes? Or can it just do PRESSUREWASHING. I need a rig that can shoot at least two stories from ground level to be able to soft wash homes

Something that I'm not clear on. At about 3:30, you said that the machine is good for about 200 gallons TOTAL use. Do you mean by this that at about 200 gallons that the machine dies? Or did you mean a max of 200 gallons before you need to give the machine a rest and service it? I started seeing this as a way to do inside of cupboards and closets, but then started thinking that it'd be great for cutting out. Then I imagined that it would be nice for doors, and while we're at it, why not ceilings and walls? Every one of my jobs, for two coats takes about 10 gallons. Do I have to worry that about 20 jobs in that the machine is dead?

How do I fix 🔧 the losing pressure issue?

Hey, I’ve just bought my quick shot set up! I love it… I don’t love how difficult it is to put the bloody lid on the cup… is there a trick, I feel like it cross threads like a mo fo. Do I need to push it down first, then turn? It seems the only way… I nearly shot the apprentice, then I found I really struggled with it too. Fortunately I caught it before it leaked everywhere.

I was losing my mind watching the paint drip from the gun. I have the same sprayer and I have used it on a few jobs now and works pretty well.
